Concordia University-Austin Welcomes Dr. Chris Putnam

AUSTIN, Texas – June 1, 2025

Concordia University-Austin is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Chris Putnam as an adjunct faculty member in the College of Business and Communication. Dr. Putnam will contribute to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program by teaching courses in Business Analytics, Critical Thinking, and Leadership, enriching the curriculum with his extensive expertise in organizational dynamics.

Dr. Putnam holds a PhD in Business Administration with a specialization in Organizational Leadership from Northcentral University. He also earned a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Family Therapy from National University, as well as a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts from Ottawa University. His diverse academic background equips him to bridge interdisciplinary concepts effectively within business education.

Dr. Putnam offers a distinctive application of relationships and systems theory within organizations, fostering a deeper understanding of interpersonal and structural influences in professional settings. His theoretical interests encompass Job Embeddedness Theory, Leader-Member Exchange, Generation Theory, and Systems Theory, which he integrates into his teaching to prepare students for complex leadership challenges.
