Welcome to HiveZen Peer-to-Peer Growth Hive

The HiveZen Peer-to-Peer Growth Hive is a Discord-based professional community inspired by Benjamin Franklin's historic Junto, established to promote mutual improvement and collaborative development among early- to mid-career professionals from higher education and trade sectors. This platform cultivates mentorship, collective support, and holistic advancement in a politics-free, non-judgmental environment, bridging diverse perspectives to enhance personal and professional resilience.

Founded by Dr. Chris Putnam, a business professor, business and leadership consultant with an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy, and lifelong entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience, the group draws upon interdisciplinary expertise in organizational leadership, epigenetic influences on child and adolescent development, and therapeutic models such as the NeuroAffective Relational Model, Internal Family Systems, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Dr. Putnam's credentials include a PhD in Business Administration with a specialization in Organizational Leadership, an MBA, an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy, and certifications as a Fellow in Thanatology and Harvard Master Negotiator. His relationship-oriented approach, informed by a grief-and-loss lens, underscores the community's commitment to empathetic, calculated risk-taking and fostering confidence in participants.

In homage to Benjamin Franklin's Junto—a 1727 mutual improvement society of tradesmen and intellectuals that convened weekly for intellectual discourse and civic initiatives—the HiveZen Peer-to-Peer Growth Hive adapts this model for the modern professional landscape, emphasizing practical, inclusive exchanges that yield tangible growth.

To maintain a respectful and productive atmosphere, all members adhere to the following five rules:

  1. Inclusivity and Non-Judgmental Respect: Engage with openness and empathy, honoring diverse perspectives across genders, religions, backgrounds, and career stages; prohibit politics, discrimination, or divisive language.

  3. Mentorship Commitment: Promote reciprocal guidance, bridging higher education and trade viewpoints to enrich collaborative growth.
  4. Ethical Information Handling: Treat shared personal stories with discretion, integrity, and compassion, upholding a foundation of honesty.
  5. Engagement and Accountability: Participate regularly and respectfully in meetings and threads; moderators may issue warnings or remove members for violations to preserve group harmony.
